Online and In-person Opportunities
Join us on September 26, 2026, for this donation-based webinar on the role of medical speech therapy in concussion/ mild brain injury treatment assessment and treatment.
This webinar will provide medical SLPs with a practical, evidence-informed framework for identifying and treating cognitive-communication deficits following concussion/mTBI. Participants will explore common cognitive, communication, and functional challenges; approaches for combining formal assessment with functional observation and patient-reported outcomes; and treatment strategies targeting attention, memory, executive functioning, and functional communication.
We will also discuss using assessment findings and creating meaningful, individualized goals that reflect the patient’s real-world demands and priorities. The webinar will also explore the medical SLP’s role within an interdisciplinary concussion management team, including collaboration, referral, and communication with other healthcare professionals.
Presented by Tracie Bearden, MS, CCC-SLP, CBIST.
